Misbha E. Qureshi is a native of Charm City, where she attended Northern City High School and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. She received degrees in Family Studies (Bachelor of Science) and Criminology/Criminal Justice (Bachelor of Arts) in 2006. She pursued her passion to help families by relocating to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for graduate school in 2007. Dr. Qureshi received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Couples and Family Therapy from Drexel University.

Dr. Qureshi has over 14 years of clinical experience providing individual, family, and couples therapy to adults, children and families. She has gained in-depth education and training in working with families of culturally diverse communities. Her extensive clinical experience in the field of mental health has afforded her the opportunity to provide services in various psychiatric/behavioral health settings. These include inpatient hospitals, residential treatment facilities, emergency crisis response centers, partial day programs, community-based programs, and outpatient clinics. Her areas of expertise and interest focus on addressing issues around cultural diversity, social justice, trauma/abuse, parent-child attachments, addiction, and family dynamics. She has authored three scholarly articles in The American Journal of Family Therapy and Alcoholism Treatment Quarterly peer-review journals that have discussed topics of racial trauma, substance abuse, social media and the utilization of family therapy modalities.
